We will be leaving on the Disney trip on Sunday, March 14th. Please be aware this is daylight savings day and do not forget to change your clocks. You must arrive between 7:30 and 8:00 am. DO NOT BE LATE!!!

SCHOLARSHIP DINNER and

Each year all three of our District Band programs (
This years Scholarship Dinner will be a Spaghetti plate including green beans, bread and an iced tea. Plates will cost $7.00 each and will be served from 5:30 pm to approximately 7:30 pm. To go plates will also be sold. Great Food, Great Music, for a Great Cause. Besides the great music from each of our district band programs, we will have a cake auction, gift card drawings and dessert sales. Please make sure you purchase your tickets early. Please fill out the order form below and place the order form and payment in a sealed envelope (please write your students name on the outside of the envelope) and return it to the drop box at your schools band hall. Tickets may be picked up the night of the concert.

2010 -2011 MARCHING BAND
To: All Incoming Freshman and Band Leaders,
Welcome to the 2010 - 2011 High School Marching Band! It was great to visit you at Heritage and Legacy. We are excited that you showed interest in becoming a member of the Pride of San Antonio "The Golden Hornet Band." We would like for you to join us for Freshman Band Camp. Camp will run from Monday, May 17 through Friday, May 21, 2010. The times are as follows:
4:30 pm - Marching Techniques
5:30 pm - Sectionals and Private Help
6:00 pm - 6:30 pm - Full Band
Friday will be the same schedule, except the Band Boosters, Drum Majors, Drill Captains, Squad Leaders, and Directors, will be treating the freshman to a pot luck dinner at the High School Band Hall from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm. This will be fun for all. Freshman, if you cannot make it by 4:30 pm, it is OK to be late. We understand that it is difficult to get a ride at the time. There will be a bus available that will pick you up at Heritage and Legacy shortly after school is out. Please wait for the bus if you need a ride to the High School. We look forward to seeing you at the High School.
Things to remember:
1. Instrument (we will give you music when you get to camp).
2. Snacks, including a drink.
3. Hat.
4. Sunscreen.
5. Small water cooler - every day!
6. Tennis Shoes (no boots, sandals, flip-flops - old tennis shoes are the best).
7. Dress Cool! Wear light colors.
8. A phone is available to call home, but parents should make every effort to pick
students up on time.

FIESTA PARADE TICKETS
AS A FUNDRAISER, OUR BAND BOOSTERS SELL TICKETS FOR BOTH THE DAY AND NIGHT PARADES. A PERCENTAGE OF THE PROFITS IS ALLOTTED FOR OUR SENIOR BAND STUDENTS' SCHOLARSHIPS FOR COLLEGE. IT IS WONDERFUL TO HEAR THE STUDENTS' NAMES AND THEIR BAND SCHOLARSHIPS AT COMMENCEMENT! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! YOU ARE PRICELESS!
